This course offers an introduction. The session is designed to give delegates an awareness of the condition and to explore why there is still a great deal of controversy around diagnosis.

This course will help delegates to understand what the condition ADHD is according to latest research and look at the history and development of diagnosis and why it’s controversial.

COURSE CONTENT

• How ADHD manifests in adults and be aware of misdiagnosis
• How ADHD causes frustration and distress for the individual, family and those working closely with them
• Current NICE guidelines on treatment and management
• Staff attending will be involved in group activities and discussions on how to identify the signs of ADHD and how it can be confused with other conditions
