Dementia Associated Behaviours

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is designed to equip non-care staffs with a deeper knowledge and understanding of dementia associated behaviours and how best to deal with these in a practical, compassionate manner if they encounter a chance meeting. The course will enhance learners’ knowledge and understanding of an abundance of issues associated with dementia; particularly the different stages a client can face: pre-stages and 5 stages of advancement. The programme will help all learners to empathise with vulnerable clients and build positive team working relationships to provide unbeatable care. The aims of the course are to demonstrate to learners the different stages of dementia, behaviours associated with the stages and how best to respond to these with empathy.
