Chainsaw – Crosscutting and Maintenance

COURSE OVERVIEW

This is an integrated chainsaw training and assessment course of 2 days duration, for a maximum of 4 people. Chainsaw training is carried out in small groups so that you receive plenty of individual attention, supplemented by course materials. We work closely with the Health and Safety Executive to ensure that our materials reflect current safe working practices.

• Safety checks
• Stripping and reassembly of equipment
• Cleaning and sharpening of tools
• First cut and brake test
• Throttle and cutting techniques
• Cross-cutting techniques
• Trapped saws
• Tension and compression
• Practical and theoretical test
