Fork Lift Truck Operator

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is designed for beginners and experienced operatives alike.

Individuals will be taught over the required days (1 day for requalification and 3 days for novice) in all procedures relating to the safe operation of reach or counterbalance Fork Lift Trucks.

Anyone who may be required to operate a Fork Lift truck as part of their job role should attend this course.

COURSE CONTENT

• Basic Manoeuvring
• Hydraulic system & use of controls
• Pre-use inspection, takeover & maintenance of truck
• Load handling-operating practice in open and confined areas
• Load weight assessment
• Vehicle loading and unloading
• This course is assessed through a practical and written test

CERTIFICATION

Successful participants will receive a relevant, nationally recognised license for the appropriate FLT.
