General Data Protection Regulation Awareness
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is suitable for those GDPR introduces several new and demanding requirements for UK organisations that are likely to necessitate new policies, business processes and technologies.
This course is designed to give staff working in health and social care a basic knowledge of the changes under GDPR and how this may affect their own working practices.
This will be done by comparing the existing Data Protection Act legislation with the new regulations and by giving staff a greater understanding of the rights of individuals under Data Protection law and asking them to explore how this will impact on issues of confidentiality and consent when working with vulnerable people.
Staff will be made aware of the responsibilities of the organisation to comply with legislation and the potential implications for staff supporting individuals in a way that upholds all rights under UK law.
