Health Action Plans

COURSE OVERVIEW

Health Action Plans were introduced following the Government White Paper ‘Valuing People’ 2001. Since then many people with a learning disability have been supported to gain equality in relation to their health with the use of Health Action Plans HAP.

Staff will look at the construction of HAPs and use examples to gain a greater understanding of how they are used.

This course enables staff working in learning disability services to support people to have their health care needs met and develop skills to help take control of this aspect of their lives.
